Print the pages according to the size you want and cut them into individual cards. I suggest to laminate them for easy and repeated use. Your students will look at the number of ladybugs shown and practice counting 1 to 20.
This is a simple but effective activity that also incorporates a fine motor aspect into your insect learning unit. When your student uses the wooden peg to clip their answer, they are strengthening their fine motor muscles.
You could make this a self-correcting activity by placing a small sticker at the back of each card on the correct answer. Once they have marked theirs, they can flip the card over and check it themselves. They’ll love the independence and you’ll love the quiet time to yourself!
