My son was so excited to do this huge art project even though it was a bit cold outside. First, we made a big rectangle on the ground with tape and then filled in the middle of the rectangle with triangles and squares using the tape. Then we simply took the chalk and got coloring! It’s ridiculously easy.
If you don’t have a garden, I have made a simple printable for you. You could print this out and ask your child to color. Alternatively, the lines are thick enough that you could even cut out the pattern into a stencil if you wish to color unto a different material.
I call it Mondrian art, but it’s a modified version of that style 🙂
