I grew up with chickens as pets and my son absolutely loves his field trips to the farm. He comes back all excited talking about all the animals he sees. We both share a love of animals so this set of chicken counting clip cards is one of his favorites.

Counting Clip Cards Setup

For this activity you will need:

Paper
Printer
Wooden pegs or clothespins
Optional: laminator

Playing This Fun Counting Game

Print out the pages and cut them as needed into individual clip cards. I would suggest laminating them so you can use them again and again. Lay out the cards with some wooden pegs and that’s it! Your kids are now ready for some fun math 🙂

Additionally, you could provide some small tokens or counters that your student can use to help them count. They can place a counter over each worm to avoid counting them twice by mistake and to reinforce one to one correspondence.
