Bug Theme Printable for Summer
Print out the sheets and cut out into individual cards. I suggest laminating them for ease of use.
You can stick the cards into a file folder and provide some crayons or dry erase markers for your child to circle the correct number.
Alternatively, you could give your child some wooden pegs or clothespins for them to clip unto the card. This way helps to strengthen their hand muscles. To make this a self-checking printable math activity, just place a sticker behind each card’s correct answer. This way, your student can simply flip the card over to check for themselves.
To extend this activity, provide some small objects like plastic bugs, themed mini erasers, etc to practice one-to-one correspondence. Your students will place one item per firefly in the jar as they are counting to reinforce the idea that they are not simply reciting the numbers or rote counting but understand that each numeral they are saying corresponds to an amount.
There are 12 cards included. Happy counting to 30!
